Where do you find your strength?

As I had my quiet time this morning, with my cup of coffee, I turned to this scripture from my daily devotional: Isaiah 30:15.

"In quietness and trust is your strength"

Quietness - the absence of noise or bustle; calm (restrain from doing)

Trust - firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of someone or something.

Is it easy for you to be quiet? For some... it may be easy, but for me more often than not, it is a challenge!

Most days, after my quiet time, I hit the road running with a long to do list in my hand; never looking back to live the day by God's words, "In quietness and trust is your strength" Hearing and believing these words is one thing, applying them in my daily walk is much harder for me to accomplish.

Often, I am so far from the absence of noise, I can easily see that I am a product of bustle more often than not. Maybe that's why I am so tired!

I can always finding an excuse such as... I am running a business? Yes, that is true, but maybe taking time out during my day (not just at sunrise) to be still, I might actually accomplish more.

Do you work dawn to dusk...or late into the evening without a pause? How can that be good for anyone's life? I can hear you thinking...BUT. We can always find a BUT.

Maybe, that is where the word TRUST comes in to the equation.

Trust is the firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. My trust is solely in GOD, except when I let go of His hand to chart my own course...and that's when I can see the wheels falling off the bus. This favorite verse comes to mind: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

My prayer for you is that you find your strength from our God in heaven. Have a blessed week.
