Holiday travel is always a crazy time to be in any airport large or small. One important thing to remember is to follow the rules!
Yesterday, while sitting in the Atlanta airport waiting for my connecting flight…Across from my gate, I saw a woman running toward a closed boarding door leading to the airplane …You know that door with the large red sign that says EMERGENCY EXIT….DO NOT ENTER….Yep, that’s the door….she pushed it right open….alarms went off…lights swirled around and agents bolted from the other side of the door fussing at the woman…not believing she couldn’t read the sign.
Now you might be thinking…Oh…no big deal….WRONG…it was a big deal! The police came…the gal was detained….a citation was written…an airport agent arrived to create a report…questions were asked. The door was locked…it wasn’t until a security man arrived to release the lock that reopened the door ….The woman was eventually allowed to leave after being told she might not get on a flight until the next day…the moral of this story is to BEHAVE YOURSELF….arrive early so you can see the excitement and not be the excitement!
