Brown Sugar Bourbon Glazed Ham
Christmas has come and gone...you probably have lots of left overs in your refrigerator. I love turkey and dressing for Thanksgiving...for me there is nothing better to eat. Years ago, I changed my Christmas dinner to beef tenderloin because what boys don't love beef and stuffed potatoes!

Everyone may be tired of those two wonderful meat staples so today I have a yummy Ham recipe. How can anyone pass up a recipe that has brown sugar and bourbon?! This recipe does require a little time because the basting is the most important part of cooking this ham so that every slice has the delicious taste of this simple glaze.
Prep Time: 20 mins Cooking Time: 3hrs. 10mins. Serves: 8-10
Ingredients:
1 (6- to 8 lbs.) fully cooked, bone-in ham
48 whole cloves
1 cup spicy brown mustard (I use Dijon Mustard)
1 cup cola soft drink
3/4 cup bourbon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Remove skin from the ham, and trim fat to 1/4-inch thickness. Make shallow cuts in fat 3/4 inch apart in a diamond pattern.
Insert the cloves in centers of diamonds. Place ham in a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch pan. Stir together brown sugar and next 3 ingredients; spoon mixture over ham.
Bake at 350° on lowest oven rack 2 hours and 30 minutes, basting slowly with pan juices every 15 to 20 minutes. Remove ham from oven, and let stand 20 minutes before slicing, basting occasionally with pan juices.
